Without you, we would not have made it through this tragic period. We continue to mourn the loss of our dear friend Lee Laurence. In this time of tragedy and sadness, we regret we must add to the loss by telling you all that Day By the River will no longer perform. Although it may seem hasty, the decision to end DBR was decided several days prior to the accident. Due to individual complications, the band could no longer continue. The fact that DBR has endured this long and reached this level of success is a tribute to you, the DBR family. Without your support and excitement, the band could not have accomplished as much as they have. Our sincerest gratitude goes out to you. Some feel that the project has run its course and is completed. Because a few of the band members have been involved with DBR for more than 10 years, they feel it's time to move on with their lives. The band feels very fortunate to be able to end with such success. This summer proved that we have reached an unmatchable level of enthusiasm and support. We will always treasure everyone's contributions to the DBR family. We hope this family will continue, and encourage the positivity and love that we have shared over the years. DBR received several generous financial offers to help us get through this tragic time. While the band is in need of this relief, we felt it was necessary to inform everyone of this situation before accepting any contributions. Also know that you can make a donation to the charity of your choice in Lee's name. You should expect a few personal emails from band members over the next few days. Feel free to email any of us personally with your thoughts, as we get through this time together. Please know that DBR loves you and hopes you understand and respect our decisions.
